Compounded medication. Prepared and dispensed by VSDH, a state-licensed compounding pharmacy, under an individual prescription from a licensed provider. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality. They are not generic versions of, and are not equivalent or interchangeable with, any FDA-approved brand-name product. Do not use if you or a family member has had medullary thyroid cancer or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia type 2 (MEN2); medicines in this class caused thyroid tumors in animal studies. Possible serious risks: pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, low blood sugar (higher with insulin or sulfonylureas), kidney problems from dehydration, changes in vision for people with diabetic eye disease, and allergic reactions. Not for use in pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if you are trying to conceive. Tell any surgeon or anesthetist you use this medicine. Common side effects: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, stomach pain and tiredness. Get emergency help for severe stomach pain that won't go away, signs of an allergic reaction, or a lump or swelling in your neck.
Wellness, Sermorelin: Compounded Sermorelin Injectable (compounded sermorelin injection, compounded medication)
Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have an active cancer. Tell your provider about thyroid conditions and all current medications. Common side effects include injection-site reactions, headache, flushing and dizziness.
